Cinematic Storytelling, Rooted in Human Truth.
Todd Hartsell is an award-winning filmmaker, storyteller, and musician whose work bridges emotion and craft. After a long career shaping stories for broadcast, corporate, and commercial clients, he’s refocused on the kind of storytelling that first inspired him — intimate, human, and cinematic.
That pursuit led to Sundown, a short film exploring love, regret, and the stories we tell ourselves to survive. The film was recently selected as the winner for Best Dramatic Short Film (Relationships) at the Texas Shorts Film Festival. It’s the kind of work that defines Todd’s creative voice: honest, visual, and rooted in the quiet truths that connect us.
Through his company, Poor Polly Productions, Todd continues to bring that same emotional depth to every project — whether it’s a brand film, a social campaign, or the next story that keeps him up at night.
